  • If you have wanted to go away on an 11-day retreat with spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen but haven't been able to do it, this book will serve as an excellent substitute. In the summer of 2005, the author went to Montserrat, Spain, where he spent 11 days with his spiritual teacher. Luckily for us, he transcribed what took place and was given permission to share it with us. This is a 498-page book filled with wisdom; wisdom that will challenge much of what you think and believe, even if you have been on your spiritual journey for awhile. The retreat addressed enlightenment on both a personal and collective level and Cohen went very deep with the students. What I like about the book is that it is written in such a way that the reader can feel they are actually present in the room, eavesdropping while students ask questions and the teacher gives very pointed answers. The author is very generous in sharing his own thoughts, doubts, insights, and feelings which adds to the depth of the material. Not so much a book to be read, 11 Days at the Edge is one to be experienced, pondered, and befriended. The information contained in the book has the potential to move the reader into a deeper understanding of life itself. --New Spirit Journal
  • Andrew Cohen is a controversial character. Enlightened teacher, evolutionary philosopher, revolutionary idealist and vocal cultural critic, he has sparked both rage and passion in the post-modern spiritual world. Uncompromising in his call for human transformation, people either love him or hate him. No one feels neutral. Why is it that Andrew Cohen has so angered some and so inspired others? Why is it that as a spiritual teacher with no tradition behind him he was invited to address the Parliament of World Religions in 2004? It is because of his ruthless deconstruction of cultural givens, his relentless quest to see things as they are and explore them in the light of liberated consciousness and his unyielding demand for integrity. In "Eleven Days at the Edge: A Journey into Evolutionary Enlightenment", you will join the author on a retreat with Andrew to find this out firsthand, and also to discover a radical new spiritual paradigm that reinterprets the traditional revelation of enlightenment in the context of an evolving universe. The emergence of this paradigm helps us to discover that intersection between our spiritual longing, and our care for the world, where both are radically empowered to reach heights that neither could reach alone.
